Description of organisation

Our “collège Michel de Montaigne” is a school with :
- 600 pupils coming from 3 popular districts in Périgueux and 2 districts in the suburbs of Périgueux (Boulazac and Trélissac)
- about 90 adults.
Even if the origins of the children are heterogeneous, 40 % of them come from disadvantaged families. More than 30 % of the pupils live in single parent  families (mostly with their mothers) and have more and more difficulties in finding their landmarks. Some of them have special needs and belong to a section called “SEGPA”.

We also have an active English European section which counterbalances the image of our “collège”.
One of the main goals of our “school project” is to encourage the integration and the success of all our pupils, whatever their social background.
